Appliances – Double Oven Slide-In Range, Top Control Dishwasher, French Door Refrigerator, and Microwave
We had an LG french door refrigerator at our old house and loved it. We went with all LG appliances from Home Depot for our new kitchen, and I love everything we chose. All of our new appliances are smart appliances and they look good + are amazing quality.
I really wanted a double oven, but also wanted a statement hood range. I love that LG had had a Double Oven Slide in Range, because I was able to get the best of both worlds. For a dishwasher, I knew I wanted a 3rd rack on the top. I love how this LG Top Control Dishwasher is adjustable and has fit everything I’ve needed to wash. It’s also stainless steel on the inside, which is very important (the ones that are plastic can stink over time!).
We have this LG French Door Refrigerator and I love it- it’s HUGE! It also has a second ice maker in the freezer, which is amazing when you have company over. The refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave are all fingerprint resistant too, which I LOVE with 2 little ones. We wanted a small, inconspicuous microwave as it’s on the counter and we chose this small microwave from LG.
Backsplash
I looked at kitchen design inspo on what I wanted to do for a backsplash for months! There are seriously so many choices. I am so glad that I went with this Artisan Frost Porcelain Tile from Floor and Decor . It’s wavy texture and looks hand-made. The color is gorgeous and seriously makes the kitchen shine when the sun hits it. I love how it reflects the warmth of the sunlight throughout the day. We did the whitest grout with it too. We used this same tile for our shower wall tile in our master bath, and I love it in there too.
Countertops
Our countertops are quartz in the color ‘Calacatta Clara” from MSI. I wanted something white, with very subtle grey veining. These are perfect and we love them! π
Kitchen Sink
I’ve always dreamed of having a white farmhouse sink. The white farmhouse sink we chose from American Standard is seriously a dream. I’ve been using it for a few months now and still love it just as much as the day I picked it out. It’s huge and is perfect for giving Rosie a bath. It holds practically every dish in our kitchen, too haha. We chose this faucet from American Standard because it’s touchless!
Kitchen Lighting
We replaced the 3 pendants over the island with 2 large, brass lantern pendant lights and I LOVE them. They’re exactly what I wanted + super affordable on Wayfair. They’re stunning. We put these cool LED bulbs in them from Amazon that look like Candelabra flames. π
We replaced all of the old can lights throughout the house with these new LED downlights from Kichler. We love them! We also added all new LED undercabinet lighting from Kichler too. You can switch back and forth between colors temps and they seriously accentuate the tile so well. We love turning just the under cabinet lights on at night time – the kitchen looks sooo pretty with them on at night! π
We added the Karin wall sconces in aged brass from Mitzi by Hudson Valley Lighting above the kitchen sink and I’m so happy that we did. They’re so pretty turned on at night, and I love the vintage feel. The satin brass color is gorgeous too!
Cabinet Hardware – Cabinet Pulls, Knobs, and Bar Pulls
I knew when we were designing the kitchen that I wanted satin brass knobs + pulls. Cup pulls have always been so gorgeous to me – they make such a statement. I LOVE the ones that we went with from Schaub & Co – we used the Atherton Cup Pulls in Satin Brass on all of the drawers, Haniburton Knobs in Satin Brass on all cabinets, and then the Haniburton 8″ Cabinet Pulls in Satin Brass on our pantry cabinets. We did the same in our bathroom, and I love them in there too. They are amazing quality and really make a statement in the kitchen.
Door Knobs
We used the Clear Waldorf Knobs in Oil Rubbed Bronze from Nostalgic Warehouse on our main floor + upstairs bedrooms. We used the Waldorf long plates with the keyholes for bedroom doors and the Waldorf short plates for the bathroom, laundry room, and closet doors! The oil-rubbed bronze color is basically black. I love how they are vintage looking, timeless, and modern all the same time! π
Counter Island Stools
I love the Mason Swivel Counter Stools from Grandin Road. They are perfect for the bright, clean aesthetic of our kitchen. The rattan material is very on-trend, I love that they swivel, and they’re very easy to clean.
Cabinets
We used a local company and I love the shaker style. They’re slightly off-white and so beautiful. We took them all the way to the ceiling (highly recommend!!) and they’re seriously stunning. We did windowpane glass on the 4 cabinets on the right side of the kitchen, and then glass uppers on the center top cabinets. The cabinets are a custom color through the company we used, but they’re very close to our wall color – SW Snowbound.
Flooring
We used a local flooring company and went with a wide-plank waterproof laminate that has a white oak look. Itβs the Market Place Flooring Wide-Plank EVP β engineered vinyl planks and the color is beachside oak EVP68204C. The planks are 9.5β³ wide and I LOVE them!
Wall color
Our wall color throughout our entire home is Sherwin Williams Snowbound in the flat finish and the trim color is Extra White in the high-gloss finish.
