shop the post
Hey y’all! Happy Monday! I hope y’all had a great weekend. π I’ve had so many requests from y’all asking what we’re getting Olivia (and Rosie!) this year for Christmas and what to give toddlers/babies in general that are on your Christmas gift list! I’m so excited to be partnering with Walmart on this post – they are seriously go-to for all things baby, and I’m so thankful to continue working with them this month. So many of their baby things ship 2 day or next day, so it’s a life-saver for last minute people like me. π
baby essentials at walmart – every day essentials + gift ideas
One of our favorite baby products right now is our Boppy Lounger. It’s super affordable (under $35) and we use it all day long with Rosie. We also love their new organic line of bedding called Little Star Organic. We have the pink bunny and black + white heart swaddle blankets and receiving blankets an I LOVE them. They’re super soft, very affordable, and the patterns are adorable. You can’t have enough swaddle blankets, especially this time of year. I love that Walmart offers so many amazing baby products at the best prices! π It makes shopping for our entire family so easy as we can get everything in one place (and I don’t even have to leave my couch haha).
What we’re getting Olivia for Christmas this year
I’m so excited to get her a play kitchen for Christmas this year. She loves watching everything I do (and copying me) and I know she will love cooking and baking in her own little kitchen. I love this play kitchen because it comes with the cutest accessories and has a little dog feeding station at the bottom – SO CUTE! She’s also obsessed with coffee, so I’m going to get her this tea set to play with, which we’ll call her “coffee” set of course haha.
baby dolls
One of her favorite things to do these days is to “play” mommy. She loves pushing her baby dolls around in the stroller, burping them, putting them in Rosie’s car seat, and changing their diapers. One of her faves is her Water Baby and she also has this exact little baby stroller set with the baby doll that she loves too. She also has the full-size water baby that she loves.
I’ve also seen the cutest Fisher Price toys advertised on TVs the last month. The little riding puppy is seriously the cutest thing. Every time the commercial comes on, Olivia always says “PUPPY!” So, I think it’s safe to say she’s going to love it. It supports up to 55lbs, so shee and Rosie will get LOTS of playtime out of it.
She also loves Woody from Toy Story, so we’re getting her a Woody Doll. I can’t decide between this talking Woody doll and this plush Woody doll. Both are adorable! I showed them to her when I was writing this post and she yelled, “WOODY!” SO CUTE!!!:)
One of our favorite outdoor toys growing up was our little outdoor roller coaster toy. I actually completely forgot about it, until a few weeks ago, when my mom reminded me about it! We’re getting this one for Olivia and I know she’s going to love it. We have so many memories playing on ours outside growing up, and I know she and Rosie will make so many memories playing with theirs! π
Gifts for a 1 year old
I also wanted to share some of our favorite things toy/play-wise that we’ve gotten for Olivia over the last year. A lot of them were from her first Christmas (she was 9 months) and her first birthday (she turned 1 in March!). The Violet dog has been one of her favorites, this little remote control (she calls it her phone and still plays with it), this video game controller (bought this for her on our way to Florida and she LOVED it!), and her baby dolls. She loves her water babies the most – the regular and mini sized ones.
The cozy coupe is a great gift to get a ~1 year old. Olivia loves hers and it’s fun to play with inside when it’s cold, and she loves riding around in it during the summertime in our back yard. Another thing we got Liv last eyar was this little interactive purse – she still loves it and stuffs everything inside of it! π
My sister got her this Minnie Mouse riding plane last year for her birthday and she loves it! Perfect for any toddler 1-2 years old. π
What we’re getting for Rosie/what to get a newborn
Newborn’s are really hard to shop for at Christmas-time, because, well, they’re newborns! Haha. We will be using all of Olivia’s old toys for her as she grows into them, but great gift options would be a baby swing if they don’t have one, a door-mount baby bouncer (Olivia LOVED this!!!), and smaller teething toys that are easy for them to grab.. I will link all of my fave above! The cardboard books are always perfect to give – we can’t ever have enough books and Olivia still loves reading hers! π
Baby Essentials
I also wanted to share some of our baby essentials. Especially with cold season coming up, I wanted to share a few health related products we love too.
Baby Gear
I am just starting to baby-wear Rosie and I loved wearing the wrap carrier with Olivia. This one is super soft and stretchy and under $50! We have this playard setup downstairs and I love setting her in the bassinet side when I am making breakfast or lunch. Super convenient and we loved it with Olivia too!
