Happy Thursday y’all! Is it me or has this week flown by? I can’t believe it’s already February!!!! Valentine’s Day is only 12 days away! That means 2 things for me (and probably you). I need to figure out what the heck I’m getting Drew. And I need to figure out what to wear (I already got this covered for both of us!). Every year I wait until the last minute to get Drew’s Valentine’s candy. He loves the giant Hershey Kisses, but they’re always out of the regular ones. So for like the past 6 or 7 years, I’ve gotten him the ‘best teacher ever’ version of the giant Hershey Kiss. So it’s like a running joke now that I have to get him that one. He told me he would be disappointed with the regular one now. Reason #586 I love him. 🙂
I love getting dressed up on Valentine’s Day. There’s just something in the air that makes me want to go all out with the red and pink. I love red and pink independently year-round, but love mixing them together for Valentine’s. This red lace dress by bb dakota dress is PERFECT for Valentine’s Day. It’s even on sale, and unfortunately many sizes aren’t left. But you may be able to get lucky and shag one up before they all sell out! For sizing, I am ALWAYS a medium/6 and got a small in this dress and it was still on the roomy side! I am in LOVE with the gorgeous lace details. However don’t fret! MAJOR SALE ALERT!!!! My Brrit Platform Sandals are on MAJOR SALE! They’re normally $109 (still on the Steve Madden site for this price!) and they’re on sale here for $27! Insert heart eyes and gasping emoji, please. So I bought them in both colors. Because they’re that perfect. I am wearing the camel nubuck color and love the height and the color. They are pretty high, but honestly they’re so easy to walk in thanks to the chunky heel. I have been eyeing these babies for a while, so when they went on sale I snatched them up quick. Sizes are going fast though, so grab a pair (or two haha) before they’re gone. I got mine literally 2 days after I ordered them, so they’ll totes be here before VDay.
