OH MY GOODNESS! It feels so good to FINALLY share this secret with y’all that we’ve been keeping for over 2 months now! We are so excited, nervous, and overjoyed to be adding another sweet babe to our little family. 🙂 We actually found out Feb 28, which was the day before Olivia’s due date – pretty cool!
I’m currently 14 weeks + 1 day pregnant, and our due date is Halloween – October 31, 2019! 🙂 Our baby is the size of a peach!
my pregnancy so far
My pregnancy has been great so far – I feel the exact same way that I did with Olivia. A little tired, somewhat nauseous when I don’t eat often, but other than that I feel great. We’ve actually gotten 3 ultrasounds of our sweet baby already. My first ultrasound we had back in late March and my doctor saw that I had a small tear under my placenta. She said that it’s the most common ultrasound abnormality in the first trimester, and didn’t seem to be too concerned because I wasn’t experiencing any bleeding/spotting or cramping.
We went back to the OB 2 weeks after the first ultrasound for another one (actually on my birthday April 10 🙂 ), and the tear had shrunk to about half the size. Went back again 2 weeks after that and the tear had completely healed – yay! That is why we decided to wait longer this time before announcing with Olivia, just to make sure that everything was good! My and the baby are completely healthy and I’m so thankful I’ve had such a great pregnancy so far. 🙂
I am officially into my second trimester now as of yesterday (so crazy!!), and this pregnancy is already flying by. I’ll do a first trimester recap blog post soon, but just wanted to come on here and share the official news + some more details about everything so far! We are so excited and can’t wait to become a family of 4!
