New Baby Essentials + Registry Must-Haves from Walmart

Hey y’all! I’ve been wanting to share this post for a while now, and I’m so glad that I *finally* am! I am sharing all of my new baby + newborn must-haves, that are all perfect to add to your baby registry. When I was pregnant with Olivia, I remember being so overwhelmed with all the baby options. I had no what was the best choice and what we truly needed. Now that I’ve gone through babyhood with Olivia, I am very confident in giving my recommendations on things that you need for your baby from newborn + beyond!

Walmart recently launched their new baby registry program, and I love how quick + easy it is to register for your baby. They send you a welcome box just for signing up, and it’s a completely personalized experience! I love how easy it for everyone to shop your registry for your baby too – they have so many stores that are literally everywhere, and shopping online you can have new baby items on your front porch super fast!

nursery furniture

We actually got the rocking chair that’s in our bedroom for Olivia from Walmart – it’s so cute, super comfy, very practical, and SO affordable! Her white changing table that’s in her room is also from Walmart, and matches her decor perfect – we love it. The white baby crib we have for Olivia at my mom’s house is also from Walmart – it’s also great quality and very affordable. So many other of my baby must-haves are also available at Walmart, and I’ll break them down my categories below! πŸ™‚

favorite baby bottles

Hands down my favorite baby bottles are the Comotomo baby bottles. Olivia took this for the first time ~2 months old and she took it first time, no problem. They say it’s the most breast-like bottle out there, which makes it perfect for nursing babies! I’ve recommended this bottle so so many other mamas – after trying + failing with so many other types of bottles – and every person I’ve recommended this too, their baby takes it first try. This is definitely a must-have, and an essential on your registry list!

pack and play playard

We keep our pack and play playard setup downstairs at all times. Our bedroom and Olivia’s rooms are both upstairs, and this is such a convenient place to change her throughout the day. It’s been one of my favorite things that we’ve gotten as we use it multiple times every day, and have since she was a newborn!

Baby Stroller

We love the Chicco Mini Bravo stroller because it’s compact and lightweight. Walmart sells a great bible that comes with an infant car seeat + the stroller for under $300!

baby jumper

Olivia loved her Graco baby jumper for so long. She loved it so much that my mom actually bought her another one to keep at her house! It’s super affordable and such a great way to build up your babies strength and head control. πŸ™‚

baby swing

The first couple of months our baby swing was a life saver! We love the ingenuity brand, and it comes in a ton of options for colors and styles – I love this swing for little girls and this swing for little boys.

bassinet

Olivia slept in her bassinet on my bedside every night from 1-2 months until she was 6 months and she transitioned into her crib. We went with the Halo Swivel Bassinet and love it! I would recommend the basic swivel one – we had the one with other features and I didn’t find myself using them.

swaddles

We swaddled Olivia from the day we brought her home from the hospital. One of our favorites were the Halo Swaddles and sleep sacks! The Halo swaddles have velcro, so it’s super easy to take off and put back on. We also loved the Halo sleepsacks when we let her arms be free and then once she started rolling over!

high chair

My mom has the Joovy Nook Baby High Chair at her house and we love it! It’s super easy to clean, very compact, and affordable. I love how the tray swivels out too – it’s super easy to put Olivia in it and to take her out! πŸ™‚

bath seat

Y’all know how much we loved our Summer Infant bath seat. This is totally a new baby must-have and is a great registry item. Olivia used it for months and it kept her safe and sitting up while playing like a big girl in the tub. πŸ™‚

diapers

When Olivia was first born, we used the Pampers Swaddlers for newborn – size 1. They worked really well, but when we sized up we changed to Huggies Snug & Dry, and have been using those ever since! I highly recommend them, and you can’t have enough diapers – trust me! I also love the Pampers sensitive, fragrance-free baby wipes, and the bulk size at Walmart is such a great deal.

portable changing mat

We loved our portable changing mat for Olivia. We actually kept it on our bedroom floor while she was still in our room, and it was so nice to take with us on the go. This Skiphop portable Diaper changing station is super cute and so convenient!
