Last week, we visited The onUp Experience at the Battery Atlanta and SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves! The onUp Experience is SunTrust’s entertainment center that brings financial tools to visitors at SunTrust Park and the Battery Atlanta. And during the most wonderful time of the year, they celebrate the season with fun holiday activities. We had such a great time during our visit, and ended the night with the tree lighting that was right outside the park. π Growing up in Atlanta, we love the Braves and it was a treat to visit the park for the holidays.
The onUp Experience at SunTrust Park
When we first got to The onUp Experience, I was so surprised at how big it was and how much there was for us to do. Even better, everything is FREE! That’s right! Games, photos with Santa, everything! I started my visit by creating my own draft card, which printed out a photo of me with a bar code to scan at each interactive game inside. Drew and I both played the Hit onUp game to see who could hit the most homeruns. Can you guess who won? π Drew *technically* won for homeruns, but I had more hits, so that has to count for something, right? π Drew also played the virtual pitching game, Pitch onUp, and had a blast. You can compete with your friends too just by scanning in your draft card – which is so cool! π
The interactive games throughout encourage visitors to swing away at financial stress through an interactive baseball experience. I love how they combined fun baseball-inspired activities and had little bits of information throughout the experience about financial confidence. It’s so important to talk about finances, and SunTrust integrated finance + baseball together perfectly.
Visiting Santa’s North Pole at The onUp experience
For the Holiday Season, the entire back section of The onUp Experience is serving as Santa’s North Pole. It’s SO cute! You can take photos with Santa and they print them right off for you – absolutely free. They even send them to you on your email so you can have them on your phone or share on social media. We were so impressed. Santa is so sweet and hilarious. He gave a huge “ho, ho, ho” right before our photo and it seriously surprised me lol. My face is priceless. Drew got a good laugh out of it too!
They also had a station to write letters to the troops overseas, which I loved, and we all wrote a letter to our service women and men! For the little ones, they had a station to write a letter to Santa, and then a mailbox to stick your letter in. So cute. Santa’s North Pole will be open until Christmas Eve! π Check out the schedule of events at The onUp Experience to see everything they have going on this holiday season and beyond! π
Tree Lighting at the Battery Atlanta
After visiting The onUp Experience, we walked around The Battery, grabbed a quick bite to eat, and got hot chocolates. π Later that night, we got the opportunity to attend the second annual tree lighting ceremony. Blooper acted out the How the Grinch Stole Christmas with a narrator, and it was super cute. There were so many families with kids, and it was so much fun to see all of the joy on their faces when the tree lit up! π
We had such a fun time visiting The onUp Experience and the tree lighting at the Battery Atlanta. We can’t wait to do it again next time with Liv! π
