Hey y’all! Today I am sharing how to do this beautiful half up braided flower bun. It is perfect for spring. Before I get started, please click here to SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube Channel! All it takes is one click, and it would seriously mean so much to me!! Now, back to the hair. It’s super easy, quick, and stunning! This braided flower bun would even work on short hair, you will just have to pull on it a little more to add fullness.
For this hairstyle, all you need to know how to do is a dutch crown braid (I have a tutorial on how to do this), and a regular three strand braid. To watch the video and see the post on how to do a dutch crown braid, click here. To prep the hair to get loose waves like mine, I curled my hair with my Beach Waver Pro, and brushed through the curls after they cooled. I am so obsessed with my Beach Waver right now. I cannot believe I didn’t get one sooner. I can curl my entire head in 7 minutes… Anyways, the curls will add more fullness to the braided flower bun as well. I feel like my hair is easier to braid when it is curled, even just a little bit.
All you will need to secure the braided flower bun is a few bobby pins, and one small hair elastic. To hold the braided flower bun into place, I used my favorite hair spray, the Fave4 Texture Takeover Spray. It holds braids so well and smells absolutely AMAZING!!! I also clipped in 1 of my wefts from my Laced Hair Extensions, the I Do clip-in extensions, just to add some length to the overall look. This hairstyle is so adorable and easy. I cannot wait to wear it even more this spring.
