Pull Through Braid Tutorial: The Perfect Braid for Beginners!

Hey y’all! Happy freaking Thursday! This has been such a long week, and I am READY for the weekend to be here. On weeks where I travel for work I am just so exhausted by the time Friday gets here.

I’ve been wearing this easy hair style on repeat lately! Today I am finally sharing with y’all how to do a pull through braid! Coolest part, it’s not actually a braid at all. You don’t even have to know how to braid to do this hair style. How cool is that? It actually looks like a dutch braid to me, so you could even call this a faux Dutch braid! My pull through braid in the video is actually a french pull through braid. I incorporate hair down into the “braid” just like a french or dutch braid, until I reach the nape of my neck. This french pull through braid only takes me about 5 minutes to do! It’s perfect when you’re running late and for dirty hair. Or both. Because let’s be honest – I’m always running late and my hair is always dirty.

Please SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube channel if you haven’t already. 🙂 Let me know if you re-create this look and what you think! This pull through braid is so easy and pretty. It’s also great for people with layers, as all of the individual bands hold the braid together more than a real braid! It’s the PERFECT work hair style and I promise you’ll get tons of compliments wearing it. I also love wearing this pull through braid to the gym, because it’s so secure it stays put through my entire workout. For my gals with shorter hair, do not fret! This beauty of this is that it starts close to your part, because it is a french pull through braid. So feel free to gather the hair at the nape of your neck into a ponytail or a low side bun! Be sure to check out my other hair tutorials on my blog! 🙂

Hope y’all have an amazing Friday tomorrow!
