Barris Block Heel Bootie // Aerosoles Mythology Booties // Saltwater Duck Boots

Happy Sunday y’all! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. 🙂 I can’t believe this week is Thanksgiving. Where has November gone, and honestly, where has 2017 gone? I keep thinking, oh I have more time to do this or that before the holidays, but y’all the holidays are practically here! I’m answering all of y’all’s questions about my favorite boots, how they fit, and why I love them! Comfort is a huge factor to me, so you best believe these are all super comfy as well. 🙂

RIDING BOOTS

So, I have two favorite pairs of riding boots. The first pair are the Penny Riding Boots & are a gorgeous, cognac leather. They are just the perfect, classic riding boot.  I got my Sam Edelman Riding Boots on sale at Lord & Taylor during their friends & family sale. I had to snag them, because they rarely go on sale, and are such good quality. It’s funny, because I actually prefer them to my Frye boots – they’re more comfortable, more affordable, and the whiskey color is just gorgeous. My other favorite pair of riding boots from Aerosoles are more of a suede/matte finish. They’re also a cognac color, but a lot more muted. They are so chic and can dress up any outfit effortlessly. They frequently go on sale for 20% off (or more), and are on major sale right now. Both of these pairs of riding boots run true to size, and are comfortable for all day wear (I’m talking 10+ hours & traveling). Both pairs are also offered in wide calf, which is really hard to find too.

OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

These Sidney Over the Knee Boots in gray quickly became a favorite when I got them a few weeks ago. They are very comfortable, and I love how fitted they are in the calf. I love that they have some stretch, and sit very smoothly over leggings and jeans. I also love wearing them with sweater dresses and any shorter (above the knee) dress, because they make the simplest outfit look very chic and put together. The price on these boots is also amazing, I’m super impressed with Target’s new fall lines in general.

DRESSY BOOTS

Before this year, I never really owned a air of “dressy” boots. These taupe sides boots from Aerosoles are just gorgeous. They are very well made, and I just feel fancy wearing them (sounds funny, but it’s true!). They are more of a splurge, but these are such good quality that I know they’ll last + are totally worth the investment. The low, chunky heel is very comfortable. I typically wear these for a few hours (or longer) at a time, and they’ve never hurt my feet! I absolutely love the color of these too. They also go on sale from time to time, so anytime I see a deal on them, I’ll definitely let y’all know. 🙂

BOOTIES

I love booties. When I’m not pregnant, I love booties with a little heel. However, now that I’m pregnant and on my feet a lot, comfort was the #1 requirement for me this year when buying new booties. These Mythology Booties from Aerosoles are so on trend and very comfortable. They are so easy to just throw on + go. They look adorable with jeans (especially ones with a raw hem or cropped), leggings, and dresses. The taupe color is so pretty, and it’s the perfect neutral – they go with anything in my closet. I just got these Barris Block Heel Booties from Nordstrom, and I LOVE them, but they’re different than the color shown online. I was expecting them to be a light, warm, cognac brown. They’re very similar to my Aerosoles booties, but I actually like the style of them more than the Aerosoles, so definitely check them out too.

DUCK BOOTS

Duck boots are perfect for fall and winter, because they’re super warm and they’re waterproof! I wear these as my go-to rainboots. These are the saltwater duck boots from Sperry, and they’re such good quality, so comfortable, and a really good price! I absolutely love the color and that they’re not too shiny, and the little curly laces are too cute. They run true to size and are such a fun gift to give (and receive!) because they’re so practical. I have the dark brown color and they go with everything. 🙂

TIPS FOR EXTENDING THE LIFE OF YOUR BOOTS

I love keeping the inserts that come with my riding boots to help keep their shape. I wear them a lot during the cooler months, but during the spring + summer they just sit in my closet. Doing this really helps them keep their shape and last longer. For real leather boots, a good leather conditioner is a must as well. I haven’t continued any of my boots (yet), but Drew swears by doing this. It really does help preserve the life of them. They actually have a conditioner + waterproofer at Sperry that he loves, so I’ll have to try it for myself and let y’all know how it is.
