My Christmas Decor 2016

Happy Sunday y’all! Today Drew & I spent all morning shopping in the rain and then came home and put a few last-minute Christmas decorations up! πŸ™‚ I’ve been wanting to do this post for SO long, but I keep forgetting to take pictures of everything in the day time! Without further ado, here is everything broken down for you below. πŸ™‚

CHRISTMAS TREE

I got our Christmas tree last year from Amazon and am obsessed. It’s 9′ from National Tree. It’s huge and everyone that comes into our house thinks it’s really. It stored so well from last year and takes less than 5 minutes to put together.

One of the biggest game-changers for me is adding a thick ribbon to your tree. I love our gold glitter polka dot ribbon, and I just wrapped it around the tree. I leave about 1′ in between each row and hold in in place about every 1′ by wrapping a branch around the ribbon. This creates the “bunching” look of the ribbon. I stagger the “bunching” pattern and do it in the middle of the ribbon below, if that makes sense and then will alternate middles going up the tree.

ORNAMENTS

I absolutely love my clip-in white poinsettias. To me, they actually look like magnolias. They’re only $1 at Target and unfortunately aren’t online, but they’re available to look at online and you can check your local store for them! πŸ™‚

For my ornaments they’re mixed + matched from everywhere. The majority of them are from At Home, but I found the exact ones online at Wayfair! We have some glitter pinecones, gold snowflakes, cute little hedgehogs, etc.

TREE DECORATING TIP: If you want a cohesive looking tree, pick a color scheme or an overall look that’ you want. For me, I love gold and glitter but took a woodland approach to it too. So I have mixed in burlap and natural accents (i.e.: the tree skirt + stockings) to make the tree not too glam. πŸ™‚

STOCKINGS + MANTLE DECOR

I got our stockings last year from Pottery Barn Kids and I still love them so much! They actually still have them this year AND they’re 40% off right now, so I think you should definitely check them out! I actually prefer the selection of stockings from Pottery Barn Kids vs the regular Pottery Barn. πŸ™‚ For $17, you can’t get a better stocking. The quality is great and they’re so stinkin’ adorable.

We got our LED stocking holders from Wayfair! They’re called They’re super inexpensive and look SO good on the mantle, especially when they’re turned on. They take standard batteries (I think AA) so they’re super easy to use. They have an on/off switch as well, which makes it easy to turn them off at night when you go to bed.

I just got my light up mantle garland this year and it was the perfect finishing touch for our mantle. It’s actually from Home Depot, but I found an identical one online from Pier 1 that I love just as much (maybe even more!).

CHRISTMAS PILLOWS + OTHER DECORATIONS

We got our pillows last year from TJMaxx and unfortunately the exact ones are sold out. However, I found some super cute ones that have a similar look that y’all will like! Love this FaLaLa Pillow and this Holly Jolly Christmas pillow. Christmas pillows are also on sale at Pottery Barn, and they have SO many cute ones this year! I actually  am getting this pillow! They’re all linked above, too! πŸ™‚

COUCHES + SWIVEL CHAIRS

I know these aren’t just for Christmas, but I figured y’all would want to know where everything is from! Our couches are from Wayfair and they’re the perfect dark brown leather couches. It’s called the Hutcherson Leather Sofa. Our swivel chairs are from Pier 1 and I absolutely LOVE them! They’re the Colette Swivel Chair and we have the color blue mist.

OTHER DECOR

My Rug is from Ballard Designs. It’s the Saylor Indoor/Outdoor Rug in Cream and it’s amazing. It’s completely washable with a hose, marking it perfect for houses with pets or kids. πŸ™‚

Our coffee table is the Bornova Coffee Table in whitewash from Ballard Designs.

Our white wash side table with all of the decorations on it is from Home Goods. The floor lamp next to it is the Mackinaw Cream Floor Lamp from Kirklands.

If I forgot something and didn’t name it or link it, let me know in the comments below and I’m happy to answer!
